CHAMPNEYS - skincare competition

In order to inform the designs, and make the product appropriate to the intended target audience, I have researched into existing skin care products that may be competition for the brand. There is a wide range of products available in high street stores at affordable prices for brands such as L'Oreal, No7, Nivea and Garnier.

L'Oreal

The L'Oreal Skin Perfection collection is simple but effective. The colours used offer a fresh visual that is appropriate to it's purpose, making the products look more expensive than they are. The use of the metallic is very reflective of the skincare market, giving the product shelf appeal.

Olay

The use of water imagery on Olay's products offers a fresh and unique visual that is ideal for it's sector. The use of blue tones is appropriate, with a contrast of block black. The type is kept to a minimum as the rest is quite busy.

Garnier

These Garnier products make use of the contents to create the fresh and enticing colours. The actual containers are a really nice and contemporary shape, offering something that is trendy and attractive to a younger audience.

Simple

The Simple products seem to be a lot more text heavy, showing the different steps and stages to the skincare products. The design is quite busy but it is still reflective of it's content.
