HARRY RAMSDENS - illustration development

Using the reference images, both primary and secondary, I began to draw up some illustrations by hand that were relevant to the brand and the menu which could be applied to a number of different products. After a discussion with my peers, I was given a number of different tips on the best way to scan in my images in order to get the highest quality and the sharpest line. I was told to re-draw my images on tracing paper so that I could add in detail without ruining the initial illustration. Then when scanning in the image, I was to use at least 600dpi. This gave me some really crisp and detailed scans, which is what I was after.
