We decided to set up a photography space in one of our studios, using lighting and a white back drop. We organised for the students to have their work dropped off by a particular time, so that we weren't hanging around waiting for people.
In order to stay organised and to make sure we knew who's work was who's, we made sure to include a photography of each piece of work with a name tag. This way we would avoid confusion later on when it came to editing the images.
As we have no real experience or skills when it comes to photography, we initially struggled. We didn't want it to appear to the students that we didn't know what we were doing, therefore we acted professional at all times. We got off to a bad start, as we weren't sure how to set up the camera so that it gave us the sharp, bright images that we wanted. After a little bit of help from a photography tutor, we were on track, taking it in turns to photograph the pieces. Although the whole experience was quite stressful, I feel that it shows what we are capable of when working as part of a team, using skills and knowledge to create something that looks professional.
Below are the edited images that we took on the day. The images were edited by Jenna as she was the most clued up in this department.
