I began to develop some portrait layouts for Anna's business cards using Klinic Slab, which was her chosen typeface. I personally didn't feel that her photographs worked well with a serif type, however this is what she wanted and I respected that.
I played around with different weights, ordering the content in different ways, and using the space on the card to lay out this information in the most appropriate way. I felt that putting 'Anna' in bold was a nice touch, as it added another dimension to the card, as well as highlighting the important elements.
Below are the two layouts that myself and my peers felt worked best. I was still slightly concerned that the serif type wasn't working too well against her photographs, therefore I decided that I would develop some designs with a sans serif type to see if she agreed.
I tried to keep the designs simple, only including the necessary information and making use of the space on the reverse of the card. I am not completely happy with them as I don't feel the two sides compliment each other, therefore I will see how the next meeting goes.
